Over her distinguished career, Kathy has changed more than 200,000 adult diapers, gaining intimate knowledge of the challenges and shortcomings of existing diapering systems. She witnessed firsthand the frequent failures of traditional products—spills, leaks, and missed containment—that not only soiled clothing and surfaces but also caused profound shame and loss of dignity for her students.

Driven by compassion and a fierce commitment to change, Kathy resolved to address these persistent issues. The SecurePocket Booster Pad was born from her determination to create a reliable, innovative solution that effectively contains human waste and prevents leakage. Nisha Harman, the dynamic daughter of Kathy Cannon, is a passionate advocate and entrepreneur shaping the future of DignitEASE. With a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Disability, Nisha combines her academic expertise with a lifelong commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. Her love for research and innovation drives her to explore new ways to enhance accessibility and dignity in caregiving.

Growing up volunteering in her mother’s special education classroom, Nisha developed a deep empathy and soft spot for those facing daily challenges with incontinence and complex medical needs. Witnessing the struggles of her mother’s students fueled her dedication to advocacy and inspired her to join forces with Kathy in bringing the SecurePocket Booster Pad to life. Nisha’s entrepreneurial spirit and research-driven approach ensure that DignitEASE’s solutions are both practical and transformative, empowering individuals and caregivers while championing inclusion and dignity for all.
